Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere takes on a different theme since it’s usually sweltering hot or raining…. so what better time than in the middle of the year when the cold has set in, the fires are going and there is the possibility of some snow?! Located on top of the misty Van Reenens Pass on the Drakensberg escarpment and only 3 hours drive from Johannesburg and less than 4 hours from Durban, The Green Lantern Inn is the ideal spot for a Christmas celebration!
Christmas in July is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the Yuletide traditions, with your family, halfway through the year! We have a hearty Christmas roast on the go, the halls are decked, the tree is up & Bo Jangles is ready for Santa! There is no shortage of fun to be had – have a dance and enjoy a drink or two at the famous Halfway Noggin pub while the kids enjoy their gifts around the tree.
